Multiple Rooms & Number Of Users
|
Your ParaChat Professional service is composed of a "Group" of chat rooms. Each
ParaChat Professional Group includes one chat room by default. You may add
multiple chat rooms to your Group using a web-based administration tool after
your service has been activated.
Your ParaChat Professional Group will permit the number of concurrent
users that you order to connect to all of the chat rooms within the Group. This includes new
chat rooms that you add, as well as the optional, temporary rooms (sub-rooms)
that you may allow your users to create. The license fee for your ParaChat
Professional service is based on the total number of simultaneous users that
can connect to all of the rooms. For example, if there are 3 chat rooms in a
Professional 25 Group, and Room1 has 10 users, Room2 has 10 users, and Room3
has 5 users, you will have reached your concurrent user limit. The 26th user
would not be able to connect to any of the chat rooms because the license limit
would prohibit their connection. A message will display in the chat window to
the 26th user explaining that the license limited has been reached, and that
they should try again later.
During the order process, you will provide information for one ParaChat Pro
room, and will be provided with instructions in your Order Confirmation email
on how to add additional ParaChat Professional rooms to your Group.

Secure Encrpyted Chat Module

ParaChat Professional includes an optional
Secure Encrpyted Chat Module. The module
provides a secure chat client download plus encrypted chat messages. Build three layers of protection for your
private communications by adding the Secure Encrpyted Chat Module to your ParaChat service, and placing ParaChat
into a secure web page on your web site.

Types of ParaChat Professional Rooms
|

There are 3 modes into which a ParaChat Professional room may be configured:
Open Chat.
This is the default mode where all users may submit chat text to the main
chat window at any time.
Moderated Chat.
When the moderated event mode is enabled, the main chat window becomes "read
only". User submissions are filtered to a designated moderator for review. The moderator may
reply to the question, or forward it to a designated speaker for reply. When the reply is
posted, the original question appears along with the moderator or speaker's reply in the main
chat window for all users to read.
Open Moderation.
This is a unique mode where the features of open chat are coupled with
the features of moderated chat. When invoked, the chat interface has 2 chat text input fields.
The top chat text input field is used for submissions to the main chat window. The bottom chat
text input field is used for submissions to a moderator. Open moderation allows users to chat
freely in the main chat room, as well as to submit questions to a moderator or speaker who, in
turn, submit an answer to the submitted questions. Questions and answers display together in
the main chat window as you find with moderated chat mode.

ParaChat Professional User Counter & Who's Chatting

Drive traffic to your ParaChat Pro rooms from throughout your web site! The ParaChat Pro
User Counter is a Java-based counter that informs your
web site visitors of how many users are currently chatting there. Through the addition
of a few lines of HTML to web pages throughout your site, the number of users in your
ParaChat Pro rooms are conveniently displayed on any web page.
Users no longer need to enter a room to see Who's Chatting in the room. Adding a few lines of
HTML to your web pages displays the user name who are currently chatting in your chat rooms.
